LCP Proximal Femoral Type II

Model No: 124433-A12

Specification for LCP Proximal Femoral Type II

  • There are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 holes available for plates.
  • Round and combi holes are present on the plate. Combination holes enable fixing with cortex screws for compression in the dynamic compression unit section and locking screws in the threaded section.
  • The two proximal plate holes can accommodate 7.3 mm Locking Cannulated Screws and are threaded.
  • The third locking hole has a 5 mm locking cannulated screw thread that it can accept. The need for this screw should be determined during preoperative planning and is dependent on the fracture configuration.
  • In the threaded portion of the shaft, 5 mm locking screws are accepted; in the compression portion, 4.5 mm cortical screws or 5 mm locking cancellous screws are accepted.
  • Locking 4.5/5 mm Proximal Femoral Plates enable the placement of implants to address specific fracture patterns.
  • Reduced bone-to-plate contact and preservation of the periosteal blood supply are benefits of limited-contact surfaces.
  • The option to select different plate lengths eliminates the need to cut plates.
  • plates made specifically to accommodate the typical femoral neck anteversion on either the left or right femur.
  • Segmental fracture patterns can span the entire diaphysis thanks to plate lengths.
  • Anatomically, it is contoured to resemble the lateral femoral aspect.
  • plates made specifically to accommodate the typical femoral neck anteversion on either the left or right femur.
  • available in stainless steel and titanium.
  • Locking plates improve construction stability while lowering the chance of screw back-out and subsequent reduction loss. Additionally, it lessens the chance of stripped screw holes and lessens the requirement for precise anatomic plate contouring.
  • There is a full set of instruments for a 4.5/5 mm locking proximal femoral plate. For this plate, general instruments like a plate bending press, plate holding forceps, plate bending pliers, bone holding forceps, bone elevators, a bone cutter, a bone nibbler, a depth gauge, a sleeve, a screwdriver, a trocar sleeve, etc. are available.

Uses of LCP Proximal Femoral Type II

  • 4.5–5.5 mm Locking For femur fractures, including the following, proximal femoral plates are designed.
  • fractures of the trochanteric region, including medial cortex fractures in addition to simple, multifragmentary, pertrochanteric, and intertrochanteric fractures.
  • ipsilateral shaft fractures in addition to proximal femur fractures.
  • The proximal femur has a metastatic fracture.
  • surgery on the proximal femur.
  • Additionally, a plate may be used for malunions or nonunions as well as for fixing osteopenic bone.
