Uses of Expert Tibia Nails

  • The use of Expert Tibia Nail is advised in cases of tibial shaft fractures, metaphyseal fractures, and specific intraarticular fractures of the tibial head and pilon tibia.
  • The proximal component of Case 1’s fracture
  • For the best stabilization of the proximal fragment, the three locking screws must be used in the proximal oblique locking options. Utilizing two ML locking options will stabilize the distal segment. The addition of a third locking screw to the AP hole can improve the stability of the distal fragment.
  • Shaft fracture in Case 2
  • In most cases, two proximal and two distal ML locking screws are enough to stabilize simple shaft fractures. By removing the proximal static locking screw, secondary dynaminization is accomplished.
