Specification for PFNA Nails

  • A medial-lateral angle of 6° can be found on the PFNA Nail. Inclusion at the greater trochanter’s tip is made possible by this.
  • With PFNA small and medium, there are several distal locking options available, including static or dynamic locking using the aiming arm. Further secondary dynamization is possible with the PFNA long.

  • By compacting the cancellous bone with the PFNA blade, more anchoring is provided, which is crucial in osteoporotic bone.
  • It has been demonstrated biomechanically that the increased stability brought on by the bone compacting around the PFNA blade prevents rotation and varus collapse. The PFNA blade had a significantly higher cut-out resistance than frequently used screw systems, according to biomechanical tests, which showed this.
  • The PFNA blade insertion procedure requires all surgical steps to be carried out through a lateral incision. In order to stop the PFNA blade and femoral head from rotating, it is automatically locked.
