Specification for PFNA2 Nails
- The medial-lateral angle of the PFNA2 Nail is 5°. This enables insertion at the greater trochanter’s tip.
- There are various distal locking options: PFNA2 small and medium aim arms can be used for static or dynamic locking. Secondary dynamization is also possible with the PFNA2 long.

- By compacting the cancellous bone with the PFNA2 blade, additional anchoring is provided, which is crucial in osteoporotic bone.
- Biomechanical evidence shows that the increased stability brought on by the bone compacting around the PFNA2 blade prevents rotation and varus collapse. According to biomechanical tests, the PFNA2 blade had a significantly higher cut-out resistance than frequently used screw systems.
- Through a lateral incision, all surgical procedures necessary to insert the PFNA2 blade are carried out. To stop the blade and femoral head from rotating, the PFNA2 blade is automatically locked.
