Specification for Tibia Nails

  • The Tibial (Tibia) Nail System has the following advantages over competitors:
  • not restricting the strategy to a particular nailing technique.
  • allowing for reamed or unstemmed procedures.
  • supplying a variety of locking options for fractures of every kind, as well as the Advanced Locking Mode for improved rotational stability. The Tibial (Tibia) Nail System offers significantly more speed and functionality for the treatment of fractures while also streamlining the training requirements for all personnel involved thanks to the development of a common, streamlined, and intuitive surgical approach, both in theory and in practice.
  • With the use of small-caliber, robust cannulated implants for internal fixation of long bones, the Tibial (Tibia) Nail System achieves superior biomechanical intramedullary stabilization.
  • The system gives users the choice of various locking modes depending on the type of fracture. Static locking is a required component, but a controlled dynamization with rotational stability is optional.
  • In certain circumstances, a compression screw can be inserted from the top of the nail to apply controlled apposition or compression of bone fragments. The nail can be locked statically to further improve rotational stability after being subjected to controlled dynamization and apposition/compression options. The distal segment is drawn towards the fracture site by the compression screw pushing against the proximal partially threaded locking screw that has been inserted into the oblong hole. This has the biomechanical benefit of actively compressing the fracture site circumferentially, axially loading the bone, and decreasing the role of the nail as a load bearing device in stable fractures.
  • Common 4.9mm Locking Bolt facilitate minimally invasive surgery and simplify the surgical procedure. There are fully threaded locking screws available for common locking procedures. Shaft screws with partial threading are intended for use when pressure or apposition is applied.

Uses of Tibia Nails

  • Locking screw fixation is possible for open or closed shaft fractures with very proximal and very distal extents.
  • fractures with several fragments
  • Divisional fractures
  • either distal or proximal non-unions
  • Malunions that are proximal or distal
  • Pseudarthrosis
  • Osteotomies for correction
  • upcoming and current pathologic fractures
  • removal of tumors
  • broken bones or bone loss in comminuted fractures
  • initial ankle arthroscopy
